HRMC Emergency Department to Remain Open

Clewiston, FL (September 27, 2022) - 1:00pm - In preparation for Hurricane Ian, Hendry Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is working closely with all local, state, and federal agencies and partners. Please view local weather news, reports, and radar by clicking the links above.

HRMC Emergency Department will be fully staffed before, during and after Hurricane Ian. Teams are in place and ready to respond both during and after the Hurricane to ensure medical services remain intact and we can serve the area and the needs of the community.

The following operational changes will be in effect for Wednesday, September 28 and Thursday, September 29:

All Clinics will be closed
All Elective Surgery will be rescheduled
Out-Patient Laboratory services suspended
Out-Patient Imaging services suspended
 
Hendry Regional Medical Center is NOT an 'Essential Needs Shelter.' Those with special needs (oxygen dependent, autism, dialysis dependent, hearing impaired, mental health impaired, wheelchair bound, etc.) must be pre-registered with Hendry County Emergency Management by calling 863-674-5400 or Special Needs Registration.

The special needs shelter will be located at LJ Nobles Senior Center in LaBelle, and will open at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27. Persons using the special needs shelter must have a caregiver with them while staying at the shelter. All others seeking shelter for Hurricane Ian may do so at LaBelle Middle School or Clewiston High School. Those shelters will open Tuesday, September 27 beginning at 5:00 p.m.
